interesting.. the date matches my ancestor, but his father was "Julien Caouette"

In this case, the name is Jannotte and not Caouette.

Do you know the mother's name ?

please note  that  everyone in Quebec is "Joseph "something......

  and girls are all Marie

their  legal name is the third name usually  ( or the  second if there are only 2 names

if they married  in the USA they were  just plain  Joseph

since  the first name is the legal name  everywhere else
