I am looking for information about my step-grandmother; I believe her birth name was Annette Valentine Cardinal, born May 31, 1909, probably in Quebec.
I'd like to find info on her ancestors, to see if there is a connection to our family other than her marriage to my grandfather.

That is not much to go by, but there is an Annette Cardinal, born in May 1909, in the 1911 Census. She was the daughter of Alphonse Cardinal and Aline Trudeau, married September 25th 1897 in Saint-Michel, Napierville county.

Thank you, I think this is what I was loooking for....also went to RootsWeb's WorldConnect Project Global Search site, found Alphonse and (Marie) Aline, but none of the entries show Annette....but I do think they are her parents.
Will just have to do more searching!

LOL, you can stop here, Renee...Gustav and Marie Louise's son Eudore was my maternal grandfather, so I have all the rest from here down :-)
None of the sites I've found show it, but besides their son Eudore they also had 5 daughters. Seems for more recent years they only show oldest child, or sometimes an only son......but going back further, they sometimes show 12-14 or more children!

Seeing as Renee mentioned my great-great grandmother Marie Giroux, I’ll post this request here :- )
My grandfather, Eudore Cardinal, had a cousin named Eugene Giroux.
Eudore's maternal grandmother was Marie Giroux, who married Joseph Trudeau; their daughter Marie-Louise married Gustav Cardinal, and they had Eudore; Eudore and Eugene Giroux grew up next door to each other in Somerville MA
Marie Giroux's parents were Joseph Giroux and Cecile Pinsonneault, both born after 1814(?), married July 17, 1845 in Napierville, Quebec.
Eugene Giroux's father was Hercule Giroux, born about 1875, Napierville, Quebec.
I believe that Hercule's father was one of Joseph and Cecile's sons...only so far I have found 9 sons, and at least 4 of them were at least 18 years old in 1875, making them all possibilities as Hercule's father!
I've searched until my eyes were blurry on the Canadian censuses, but haven't been able to find Hercule as a son of one of the 4 possible names :-(
Here are their names and probable birth years:
Joseph - 1848
Emanuel - 1851
Isaie(?) - 1853
Raphael - 1857
Can someone find Hercule’s father?????

no Hercule.....sorry
but Marie Giroux 26yrs died 31 aug 1872
wife of Jos Trudeau
Also
Constant Cardinal d. 21 sept 1872 he was m to Marie Roy
when I google giroux genealogie (NB fr.spl.)
