Matilda legros dit st. Pierre and Elzeard Saucier are my g gandparents. However nothing is known of Matilda family. The left Quebec around 1880 and married in Fall River Massachusetts. Elzeard was the son of Israel Saucier and Clarisse Bowsprit Beaupre. Also Godrey Pichette wife Genevieve Corneau. Any help in finding these marriage records so our family can trace further back is much appreciated.

wow! Again thank you! I am putting this together for my father. He is in his 70s now and always wanted to see his family lineage, it was always confusing to trace because the French Canadian pool is so large. His grandparents were Francois (Frank) Saucier (matilda and elzeards son) and Rosanna Pichette (daughter of Godfroi and Genevieve) Rosanna passed away in 1921 at a very young age. Her 3 daughters were sent to an orphanage for quite sometime will Frank situated himself. My dad always wondered about a possible Native American ancestor along the Saucier line. I cannot find anything of the sort. Again many many thanks!!

Also he always thought an ancestor was a "Pelican girl" or Kings daughter. He has been misinformed for over 75 years haha

Just saying : this Mathilde was born of Marcel Dessaint St-Pierre & Caroline Lynch, not of Narcisse Legros St-Pierre & Délima(?), Delvina(?) as it written as her parents when she married ...

Most probably the parents of Mathilde : Narcisse Legros St-Pierre x Adéline Lanctot married 1856-01-15 in ND-du-Bonsecours. Their daughter, Mathilde was born in the same village 1865-05-01.
