Joseph Magloire Lamothe was the son of Pierre Lamothe and Marie-Anne Senet (marriage: 29 April, 1805 in the parish of St-Jacques-de-l'Achigan, l'Asomption, Quebec, Canada). I am searching for the marriage of Joseph Magloire and Seraphine Gauthier, daughter of Victor Gauthier and Marcelline Tremblay.I believe they were married in the Toronto area. Can anybody help?

Thank you so much for taking the time in looking into my request. In my search, I have found FrancoisLamothe, brother of Magloire Lamothe, as being married to Louise Gauthier dit Landreville, daughter of Louis Landreville and Marie Brico. Their marriage was on the 24th of July, 1838 in the parish of Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours de la petite Nation, Montebello, Compte Outaouais, Quebec, Canada. I could not find the marriage of Magloire Lamothe to Seraphine Gauthier in this particular parish but I did find eleven of their children born in the Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours parish. Did I just miss the entry of their marriage?

                I believe that there has been an error somewhere in the research of Edouard Lamothe and Francois Lamothe. I have a copy of the marriage to Louise Gauthier with Francois Lamothe. Will need to investigate the life of Edouard Lamothe.
