Hello Jo Ann,

Here I have a Joseph Lafontaine born about 1807 on the New York Census 1875 from Orleans in Jefferson who is married to a certain "Ida". He is aged 68 and he is on the right page, line 44, and it says that he is born in France. Here is the link : https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VNKZ-924

New York (marié à Ida) : https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-9YB2-9X4V?i=11&cc=1417683
