Wikitree shows Joseph Grondin is a son of Joseph-Marie Grondin and Marie Josephte Houde.  Joseph was b. 15 July 1777 in Nicolet, Quebec, Canada and d. 31 August 1830 in Essex, Ontario, Canada.  In 1801 he married Archange Renaud b. 1786 d. 1881.  However, I do not see Joseph listed as a child of Joseph-Marie here in the Genealogy of Canada (Grondin).  Wikitree records show Joseph-Marie and Josephte had 15 children, Nicolas, Marie Ann, Magdeleine, Therese, Joseph, Madeleine, Ellisabeth Isabelle, Antoine, Joachim, Francois, Marguerite, Marie Ann, Marie Angelique, Charles, Louis II, Felicite and Angelique.  Other sources we have show that our family line goes from Joseph-Marie to Joseph to Olivier to Eugene (who emigrated to Michigan in 1988 with his son Charles Eugene and others).   Any help on clearing this Up?

a joseph ( a contribution by a Grondin   by the way )

born   at St Francois Trois Rivieres   15 july 1777

(yet one   child is  born St Francois du Lac  co.Yamaska )

the link is http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=grondinv1&id=I002203

there are  8 children listed,     born at various  locations

did you look into www.familysearch.org the original church registers??

(please  remember all the boys are   all  baptized  joseph,   but   the second name is the  name   used as a surname

but in the US the first name is the legal  surname )

it makes for a very confusing affair  to explain

I hope this helps   somehow
