I unfortunately do not speak or write French.  I am trying to research into my grandfathers mothers parents and beyond.  My grandfather is Arthur Boucher 1893-1954.  His mother I've found her name to be Delima or Adeline Gilbert 1876 and her parents Delina or Adelaide Lambert 1851, and Alexis Gilbert 1851.  

I got lots of names and dates for my grandfathers father's side but running into a dead end on his mother's side.  If anyone can help give me more information that would be wonderful.  And perhaps a French lesson : ).   Merci beau coup 

There were an Alexis Gilbert/Comtois and Marie Lambert married in 1867 in Sherbrooke. These would be good candidates.

Thank you I found that a long time ago.  But there is nothing much beyond Delima Gilbert's side of the family.

Yes, thank you!  That's another lead I can follow.

If alexis Gilbert was born in 1851 he would not be getting married in 1867??  He would only be 16 years old.

For this marriage in 1867, Alexis was of age and Marie Lambert was minor.  So, if Alexis was born in 1851, you're right.  But this date is estimate.

Alexis Comtois, son of Alexis Comtois and Christine Russy was born on april 30th 1845, baptized on may 1st at St-Barthelemy.  I think he's the one.

I really don't have much information.  I know of one child of Alexis and Adelaide ( or Delina).  That child is my great grandmother, Delima or Adeline born around 1873-1876.  That's why I'm have such difficulty finding her parents and beyond.  

My grandfather, Delima's son is Arthur Boucher born 1893 died 1953.  He was born in New Hampshire.

You found the same info I found.  I'm trying to get beyond alexis Gilbert and Ella Lambert.  I found this recently and it looks like it could be Ella's parents and her siblings listed in a census record.

Oh, you're right.  I missed that I was looking at the second Augustine on the list.

I'm not sure if her name is Ella.  I've seen names get misspelled a lot in my searching.
