Family line from Pierre Maufay (b.1627) --> Andre, Charles, Jean-Marie, Jean-Marie (here the family name undergoes some changes). In this genealogy of French America, there are no children indicated for Jean-Marie (b. 1755), but my research shows a Jean Baptiste Moffet as offspring. He married Angele LePage and their son, Louis is (I believe), my great grandfather. Can anyone verify these conclusions or add to my knowledge of the descendants of Pierre Maufay in Canada.

I can add this: Arthur and Annie HAD That Lived two children. One was my father, Harry, and the other, Ethel. Harry and Ethel Were separated When Their father died young When young. She Went west and My Father Was raised by His mother's sister and her husband outside Ottawa. Dad and his sister never again put DURING Their Lives.

My father married late in life and died at age 64 in 1971. My mother Was a Young from Pontiac County. 

We never Knew of our French ancestry Until 2012  year. Because I assume Arthur Moffatt married a Protestant. Also, the Young's strong Were Orange - yet Reviews another reason to deny a French Catholic background. I have an interesting family tree. The Sheppard line breaks in Ireland as Does the Young line. But my mother's mother's line goes way back to the middle ages.

The Catholic Church in Quebec Kept amazing records.
