Dear Genealogists,

How universal are the IDs in this database?  Are they shared with other databases?  It is an assigned number from somewhere else?  For example, Zoe Piuze has an ID of 281783.  What other databases also use 281783 to uniquely identify Zoe Piuze?

My French is awful.  I have not spoken, read or written anything since John Hamelin taught me at Jackson (Michigan) High School in the 1960s.  He did a good job, but his student was not so quick.

I am not sure.  I have found a woman who fits the general dates and location but I can not yet find her (Delphine Marie Virginie Deschênes) directly with my 2nd great grand father (William Henry Gage).  They lived and possiblly died in the Down River Area (between Detroit, Michigan and Toledo, Ohio) around 1870.

But, I am closer than I was before.

also the alias for Dechesne is Miville  you know that of course

Thanks for the prompt response.  Yes, I have reviewed the two Dennison Volumes, but did not find any reference to Delphine Marie Virginie Deschênes and a marriage to William Henry Gage.  I will try again with the Miville surname.

It seems that she may not have been married in the Church, baptised her children, or had Last Rites.  What a shame.
