Hello Jon,

The entry refers to the marriage of Jacques Couturier to Catherine Anenontha, who also went by Catherine Annenontak. Jacques was born around 1646 in St-Martin de Queneville, Caen, Bayeux, Normandie, France. He died in 1697 at the age of 51 in Batiscan, Canada, sometime before 28-8-1697. He was the son of Jean and Marie Aumont.

Catherine Anenontha was born around 1648, in La Conception, Pays des Hurons (Huron country), Canada. She died on January 11, 1709 at the age of 61. She was the daughter of Nicolas Annennontak (Arendanki), who was killed March 17, 1649 in an Iroqouis attack, and of Jeanne Obrihandet (Otrihouandit), who died in July 1654, in l'Ile d'Orléans (Orleans Island), market town of Ste-Madeleine, La Conception Parish, Huron Country. Catherine (and presumably her mother as well) arrived in Quebec city, where they received refuge. After her mother's death, the orhpaned Catherine went on July 21, 1654 to live with the Ursulines (see Wikipedia's article for more information on the Order).

Jacques and Catherine were married at the ages of 26 and 24, respectively, on June 28, 1672 in Sillery, Canada. The marriage was performed by priest Gilles Rageot. Note that in Jacques' green box the marriage is listed as having taken place on the 26th, not the 28th. I don't know which is correct.

Catherine married thrice in her lifetime. Before marrying Jacques she was married to Jean Durand. Clicking on his entry reveals she was married to him at 14 (!). They were married in Quebec city by Audouart, on the 23 of some year (Jean's entry says September 26, 1662). After Jacques died, she married Jean Lafond in Batiscan, Canada. Jean Lafond's entry says August 28, 1697. Catherine's box says the 26th, by Trottain. They died without having children.

The box at the very bottom of the page lists al of Catherine's children. The headers in the blue box are as follows: Name, Date of Birth, Date of Death, Mother, Father, Spouse(s).

Except for some descriptive text, Google Translate should do an okay job of translating any of the pages on this website. It should translate well enough to at least give you dates of importance. Hope that helps.
