Bonjour , I am looking for more information on this French Acadian family my ancestors , William H Melanson married to Clara Ellen Doucet . William born about 1884 Yarmonth county Nova Scotia , Clara born about 1887 Yarmonth , district of Tusket Nova Scotia . They were married Sept 04 ,1904 in the county of Yarmonth . In 1911 Clara is a widow with three children , William , Freda, Gladys after the death of her fourth child Ella . By 1917-1918 or sooner Clara's children are orphans . I have no death dates for William or Clara which i would like to have very much . Williams father is James ? Joseph Melanson born 1860 , married to Mary ? , Clara's father is Reubin Doucet born 1855 in the district of Tusket , married to Madaline ? . Sorry this is all the information i have and no church records . Thank you for any help you may have ....... Ron .

I hope this might help,   first it is Yarmouth  ( where the ferries come in from Maine)

some sites for Acadians such  as the one of Lucie Leblanc Constantino might be usefull

to you   Our Acadian Home   is the name  I beleive

have you tried roots web world connect?  there is no specific site for N.S

that  I can give you at the moment

may be the archives of Halifax  could....and the R.I society ,  American  Franco 

genealogical society . Dennis Boudreau  is well informed in Acadians  .

try to Google the names and genealogy   it mightlead  you in the right direction

I was a member years ago  the N.S genealogical society since I have ancestors

in Pictou  but they  do not cover  acadians  much

Bonjour Marie Therese  . Unfortunally the infortmation you found was put together by Roland Arsenault and my self  Ron Depatie  this winter . Now we are tring to find the parents for my 3x's great grandfather Joseph , James P Melanson  married avec Mary ?
