I'm looking for the birth date and the death date of the wife of Omer Morency who I believe is Marie Blanche Samson. Omer was born November 18th 1885 in St-Roche Quebec. His death is listed under George Martin March 21 1959 in Toronto Ontario at age 74. Yet a cousin claimed to be called to Baltimore Maryland to identify the body of George Martin born November 18 1885 in 1974. I knew him as a child to be named as George Martin. My mother born with the name Marie Blanche Gabrielle Morency went under the last name of Martin. Her sister Julliette Morency assured me her last name was Morency. My mother Marie Blanche Gabrielle ( Martin ) Morency died Setember 20 1950. She was born October 6th 1912. If anyone can help unravel this mystery it woild greatly appreciated by me. Thanks

Joseph Edouard Omer Beaucher dit Morency, son of age of Edouard and Délima Cardinal married
Blanche Samson, minor daughter of Octave Joseph and Arthémise Bédard,
on September 16th, 1907, at Québec, parish St-Sauveur.
Marie Blanche Angéline Samson was born on October 16, 1886, christened on the 17th at Québec, parish St-Sauveur.
Your mother was christened October 6th, 1912, born the day before.

I have an old insurance policy that expired for George O. Martin listing my mother Marie Blanche Gabrielle as his daughter. George Martins birthday is the same as Omer Morency November 18 1885. His death certificate 1959-05011918 (AO23463) 82-186236-01 His death certficate says he died March 21 1959 in Toronto. Would you also know what Beaucher dit Morency means? Thank you ever so much. My mother died when I was nine and her tomb stone says M.B.Gabrielle Martin. When I found out her sister Jilliette 's last maiden name was Morency the probe began. Thanks Will

Here's a link in english that explain the "dit" names. I think it will answer your question.
I thought that his family name was maybe Martin dit Morency, or Morency dit Martin, but it is Beaucher dit Morency. That is why I wonder where from comes Martin as well as Georges because he was christened Joseph Edouard Omer.
On October 28, 1929, Albert Napoléon Létourneau married Juliette Morency. You can take a look at the act
HERE. You'll see that Marie Blanche Samson was dead at this time ( ....Omer Morency et de feu Marie Blanche Samson... "feu" translate "late" ).

Here's what I think : Georges Martin was maybe involved in some manner in the raising of your mother. But, who is he ? An uncle ? We must find more clues about him. If you feel at ease with it, give me your father's name, date and place of your parent's marriage. Maybe we'll find some infos there.

George Martin named my mother as his daughter on that expired insurance policy along with Julliette Letourneau maiden name Morency. His birth date was the same as Omer. Morency on the policy . My mother called herself Marie Blanche Gabrielle Martin on her marriage certificate and on her tomb stone. Yet Julliette Morency and my mother were born Morency. They were put in a convent after Marie Blanche Samson died. I wonder if he changed his name when he came to Ontario because he owed money or there was something suspicious over the death of his wife. If he died in 1959 who was the man in Baltimore using his name. Or why did my relatives not want me to believe he died in 1959 but died in1974. Will

It was relatively easy to get a birth certificate in these times. They were written by the parish presbytery, generally by the priest. So, it's possible that Omer found a guy born on the same date as him and asked for a birth certificate and then, moved to Toronto. Why ?
Like you said, if something was souspicious, if he was wanted, that was a good move.
The guy in Baltimore was probably the good Georges Martin.

Marie Blanche Angeline Samson born Oct 16 1886 died July 29 1915. Is it possible to know the reason for her death at such a young age? Her daughter Marie Blanche Gabrielle Morency died September 20 1950 of cancer. She was married to Herbert Petrak. He died December 23 1987. Her sister Jilliette Letourneau nee Morency born Jan.. 1 1909 must be dead. Since my mother Marie Blanche Gabrielle died when I was nine, I lost contact with Julliette. Does anyone know the birth date of Octave Joseph Samson or the birth date of her mother Arthemise Bedard.? My mother went by the maiden name of Martin instead of Morency as did her father.

I'm not sure, but I think we'll not be able to know the reason of Blanche Angéline Samson's death. I don't kwow if we can get death certificate for Québec province for these years.
Here's the infos about Octave and Arthémise :
Joseph Octave, son of Julien Samson and Mary-Ann Shavelan, was born on October 14, 1850, at Québec, parish St-Sauveur.
Marie Nathalie Arthémise, daughter of Francois-Xavier Bédard and Nathalie Lachance was born on June 27, 1856, at Québec General Hospital. She died on April 1, 1917, at Québec.
Joseph Samson married Arthémise Bédard on July 15, 1874, at Québec, parish St-Sauveur.
Julien Samson married Mary-Ann Shavelan on February 9, 1847, at Québec, parish St-Roch.

Julliette Letourneau whose maiden name was Julliettle Morency born January 1st 1909 is my aunt. She was living in Montreal Quebec but lived most of her life in Quebec City. Do you know if she is still alive? Thanks
