Brian,
You must know that when a child was born out of the wedlock, the priest wrote on the baptism act "from unknown father and mother" or "illegitimate child". Only the first name of the child appears on the act with the names of the godfather and godmother.
I saw very rare exceptions to that situation. I remember one where the priest wrote on the marraige act that the couple recognize to be the parents of 3 illegitimates children.
In the case of Marie Lesieur, I suggest you get the marriage act on
Family Search.
Search for and click on Boucherville, Sainte-Famille-de-Boucherville, 1696-1717 and look for image 140. This is the last act on right page.
You should read that Mathurin is the son of Jean Lebeau and Etiennette Lord, he's the widower of Catherine Martinbeau and he's 29 years old.
Marie is the daughter of Charles Lesieur and Marie Drouet and she's 23 years old.
So, her birth date should be 1690.
Normally, we refer to PRDH for events before 1800. In genealogy, they are the most accurate reference. They standardized the family names, associated them with the surnames and did the family links. So, here's what we can find about Marie Drouet.
On February 19, 1713, a marriage contract was written by a notary in which Charles and Marie are mentionned as parents. The reading of this contract may answer to your question. Otherwise, we can't find Charles Lesieur and Marie Brouillet or Drouet marriage in Québec.
Yves.
