Gregory,
Click
HERE to see 1871's census. Ann McCann was single and living with her parents at St-Sylvestre. We can see that she was born in Quebec province and that she was catholic. Her father is Irish and her mother from Newfoundland.
On the Family Search site, in the parish of St-Patrice-de-Beaurivage, you'll find the following acts :
Michel's baptism, year range 1866-1876, image 23 ( June 3rd 1873 ) ;
John Louis' baptism, year range 1866-1876, image 55 and 56 ( something very special about him : two baptism acts : act B12 and act B15. Look at that. )
Mary Ann's baptism, year 1878, image 10.
The census took place on April 21st 1871. Louis and Ann had Michel in 1873.
So, I think they got married in Quebec, but didn't find it yet.
I also think they moved to USA after Mary Ann's birth and before 1881 because I can't find them in the 1881's census.
Yves.
