Hi I am not related to the names mentioned in any way
just a compulsive researcher interested
I looked into the church repertoire for Ste Anne des Plaines co Terrebonne
I find a Jacques Belisle widower of Elmere Therrien
m 6-3-1886
to Angelique Therrien widow of jos desroches of Montreal
the alias for Belisle is Roture in Terrebonne
did you lookinto familysearch.org?
to see the name used at the marriage? in 1844
good luck Renee
PS sorry the index books do not have births for terrebonne
the only way to go is via www.familysearch.org
and it is a long process
they definetely did not marry in terrebonne county
as far as I can see under what name??
try the census to locate them
if you are in Ontario
the library edition of ancestry is available in public llibraries
and it is free
I do volunteer work with the local society
if I can I'll look next thurs when I am there
do try familysearch it might be the key
good luck Renee

Ron, I think you'll find what you're looking for ( Jacques Belisle-Elmire Therrien ) in the parish of St-Lin. Look on Family Search records, St-Lin, 1842-1846, image 77. The date is July 23 1844.
For Leon, look in the parish of Ste-Anne-des-Plaines, 1853-1867, image 73. He was baptized Leon Roture on Febuary 20 1857.
In Ste-Anne-des-Plaines, year 1885, image 16, you'll see Elmire Therrien's act of grave.
In Ste-Anne again, year 1886, image 12, as per Renee infos, Jacques got married in second wedding with Elmire's sister, Angélique.
Yves.

THANK YOU YVES FOR CHECKING FOR ME , BUT HERE IS THE REAL PROBLEM I AM HAVEING , MOST OF THE INFORMATION WE HAVE FOR JACQUES BELISLE . THE PROBLEM I HAVE WITH JACQUES IS FORGET IS ALSO ATTACTED TO HIS NAME , HIS REAL NAME IS JACQUES FORGET BELISLE , SO I AM TRYING TO FIND IF HIS PARENTS ARE BELISLE OR FORGET , WE KNOW HE HAS A BROTHER LOUIS ANTIONE ALSO MARRIED TO A THERRIEN , THE SISTER TO JACQUES WIFE . THE THERRIEN FAMILY TREE HAS NOT PROVED AS OF YET THAT THEY ARE REALLY THE SON'S OF ETIENNE BELISLE , ALSO THE FORGET FAMILY TREE HAS NOT PROVED IF THEY ARE FORGET OR BELISLE . I BELIVE THEY MAY BE BOTH THE SON'S OF JACQUES FORGET MARRIED TO MARIE ROTURE dit BELISLE . THIS JACQUES WAS MARRIED THREE TIMES WITH MARIE BEING HIS FIRST WIFE . HOW DO I PROVE THIS IS CORECT ? MY GRAND FATHER ARMAND DEPATIE TOLD US LONG AGO HIS GRAND FATHER JACQUES PARENT PASSED AWAY WHEN HE WAS YOUNG AND HE WAS RAISED BY SOME ONE ELES . MAYBE ETIENNE ROTURE dit BELISLE IS THE BROTHER TO MARIE ROTURE dit BELISLE , IF SO THEN MY GRAND FATHERS STORY MAKES SENCE , BUT AGAIN HOW DO I PROVE ALL THIS .

Well I guess you will have to research the registers in Ste Anne des Plaines to look for any deaths that could resolve the question
look for S and the names you need take notes dates etc you do not need to read and write french to work it out
M is marriages B is birth/Baptism
the date always come first in the entry
it means many hours and here I will search the books to see what can besorte outdo you a birth date for your grandfather?youfogot to remove your email address please do it
will get back to you Renee
