Zephirin (fils d'Alphonse) De Serres was born on January 19, 1904, in Tingwick, Quebec, his father, Alphonse, was 28 and his mother, Odile, was 22. He married Yvette (fille de Joseph) on February 22, 1927, in his hometown. They had eight children in 17 years. He died on November 16, 1975, in Cornwall, Ontario, at the age of 71.
