Note November 4, 1921 Aldas and Joseph (Joe) purchased approx. 300? acres of land for $4,950 in Thornloe Ontario. They split the land. I believe 1/2 the land was transferred to Joseph Chartrand on June 18, 1923 for sum of $2,800. The old land titles are very hard to read. There were people living on the land prior who served in South Africa and the Volunteer Militia who served on the Frontier in 1866, their names were Mary Ann, John, Margaret, Norman and Una Hepworth.
