The funeral Mass for Stanley F. Bartlett, 75, of 1214 Superior St., will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church Our Lady of the Sacred Heart with the Rev. Mark McDonald, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Bartlett died Thursday morning at his home, where he was under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Cleveland Funeral Home, 404 Sherman St..
Mr. Bartlett was a millwright for the St. Regis Paper Co., Deferiet, now Champion International, for 40 years, retiring in 1986.
At the time of his 1st marriage to Gloria A. (Jones) , he was employed by New York Air Brake Co.
Mr. Bartlett entered the Navy on Feb. 25, 1941, and served as a fireman during World War II in the Pacific theater. He was discharged on Oct 28, 1945. He was a member of American Legion Post 61 and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1400.
He was an avid bowler in several leagues and an avid fisherman.
Mr. Bartlett was a communicant of the Church of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart.
Born May 14, 1923, at Watertown, a son of Ellis J. and Mabel LaLonde Bartlett he graduated from Watertown High School in 1941. He married Gloria A. Jones on Dec. 22, 1945, at the rectory of the Church of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart with the Rev. John A. Sullivan, pastor, officiating. She died Oct. 12, 1971. He married Hazel Webb Reynolds on Jan. 5, 1974, at Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Stanley G., Rochester; a daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Cindy) Spaziani, Watertown; three stepdaughters, Rosemarie Nadlen, Boonton, N.J., Mrs. Walter (Sandra) Smith, Smithville, and Mrs Michael (Cherie) Ransome, New Bremen; three sisters, Murial Dick, Watertown, Barbara Desilets, Michigan, and Mrs. Richard (Delores) Wahattam, Brownville; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A sister, Pearl Shear, died before him.
Arrangements are with Cleveland Funeral Home.
