Rose Lalonde a mother we loved so much gave us life and never wavered from her multiple tasks of bringing up a large family. She did just about every well to do families’ laundry and ironing in the village. She would even starch the white shirts, the dollies, and do much more than what was asked.

Years ago, the $1.00 dollar she made would buy at the local butcher’s store wieners for our supper. She worked so very hard and I never heard her complain. Do you know I never heard my mother say she was tired? Nowadays that’s all we hear…my back hurts…I am so tired, and our parents back then didn’t have any commodities. So there you go…we should all think about that more!!!

We also know that many meals she was hungry because she let us kids eat some of her share. To this day, I still think all of us could have done more to help with her chores.

I want to take this opportunity to say Thank You Rosette. I would never ever have changed them for any other parents in the whole world. Rest in peace. We will see you again someday.

Like I always say, “no rush”.
