Romeo J. Bedore Tupper Lake
Romeo J. Bedore, 79, formerly of 30 Cedar St, died Sunday morning, July 4, at the Mount View Health facility at Lockport.
He was born April 14 1903, in (Piercefield) Bedore, and had lived in Tupper Lake since early childhood.
Mr. Bedore was a member of the Tupper Lake Volunteer Fire Department, first with Hose Company No. 3 and later with Hose Company No. 5.
He had been a custodian at the Tupper Late High School and retired in 1954. He worked as a truant officer until June, 1981.
He had lived in Lockpart for the past nine months.
He was married in the Holy Name Church Jan. 17, 1922, to Ann Audet, now of Lockport, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George (Charlotte) Needle of Lockport,and Mrs. Robert (Heloise) Watson of Frederickton, New Brunswick; two sons, Robert of Niagara Falls and Thomas of Yorba Linda, Calif; a sister, Mrs. Veronica Blanchard of Livermore Falls, Me.; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at the Richer Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Name Church at 10 a.m., tomorrow, with the Rev. Earl Nichols officiating.
Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tupper Lake Rescue Squad.
