Retourner à la fiche de: Pierre Regimbald

Born & baptized the same day; parrain Alexandre Delallier; marraine Louise Paquet.

During his youth he worked at odd jobs for neighbors.

Pierre & Scholastique lived in Montréal, Rigaud then St-Louis-de-Gonzague.

After moving to Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague, Pierre became a baker, and followed this trade until his death.

In his later years, he was sorely afflicted with inflammatory rheumatism but was never heard to complain. An unassuming man, he preferred the warmth of his hearth and home to the adventure that many of his children would undertake as they sought new beginnings in the United States.

Pierre died in his home on April 15, 1873 at the age of 67. He was buried on the 17th at Cimetiere de la Paroisse Saint-Louis de Gonzague. Over the years, his marker has disappeared and the plot that was his is no longer discernible to the occasional visitor.

His wife, Scholastique, and sons, 'Peter', Charles, 'Frank', Fabien and 'Mose', emigrated from Canada to Minnesota after his death.
