Pierre Lacoste was a fervent Catholic. He went to U.S. with his father in support of anti-slavery in 1852, and returned to Canada in 1853 to work in Ottawa.
In the 1861 census his wife and 2 other tenants were listed: Josephte Riendeau Lacoste (78) and Celestin Martel (9).
In the 1881 census 4 children are listed: Palmas (7), Agustaine (5), Damien (3), Celuesaus (1).
In the 1901 census he is listed with his wife Delima (61), and 2 children, Leonidas (21) and Philippe (19).
