BOYLES, Pauline Yvette (née Fontaine) - 90 years passed away August 14, 2012. Born in Quebec City, daughter of Lucien Fontaine and Yvette Bruno. Wife of Richard Lawrence Boyles. Educated at the Ursulines, Quebec City. Mother of 4: Cheryl, Susan, Janet, Bruce. Polly moved to Toronto to be with Richard and start a family, and she would often make the trek back to Quebec to keep connected with her French family. Polly was a generous, courageous woman. She worked hard; employed full-time as a bilingual secretary in an office furniture company for many years to help provide for her children. Polly loved being with people; socializing, dancing and playing cards. She loved cats. She was a very talented knitter; making socks, mitts, scarves and sweaters for the whole family. She was an avid tennis player and enjoyed downhill skiing; sports she took the time to introduce to her children. As seniors, Polly and Richard spent many enjoyable winters in Florida. Polly's family will convene in a private gathering to honour her and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Heart & Stroke. Published in the Toronto Star on August 15, 2012
