LALONDE, Oscar 1916-2004 Peacefully in hospital surrounded by family, Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at the age of 88. Legion Member - Westboro Branch 480. Knights of Columbus Member - Laurier Council. Oscar was a devoted family man and proud veteran of WWII, served admirably in the Royal Canadian Air Force and operated his own business for many years. Served many years on Parliament Hill as a Federal Employee. Widower of the late Cecile D'Aoust. Proud father of the late Capt. John J. Lalonde. Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Michele (Shane McDonald) of Tennessee, Louise, and John-Paul Lalonde from Texas and great grandfather of Victoria. Longtime friend of Ida Page. Caring brother of Beatrice Jean-Louis, Blanche Dinelle, Eugne, Ernest (Cecile). Devoted godfather of Jackie Turrieff, Kathy Angelo and Paulette Padden. Lovingly remembered by Kyoko and Eugenia, brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his brother Paul and his sister Vivian True. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 2313 Carling ave. (west of Carlingwood) Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Monday to eglise St-Francois d'Assise (Wellington and Fairmount) for Mass of Christian Funeral at 11 a.m. Interment Notre-Dame Cemetery.
