Constance-D (Boucher) Mello
1923-2011
Constance D. (Boucher) Mello, 88, of New Bedford died Sunday May 8, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late George Mello. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Oliva and Eva (Diette) Boucher, she lived in New Bedford all of her life. Mrs. Mello was formerly employed as a salesperson at Pat McKenna's for many years. She later worked for the American Red Cross and was a fundraiser for the Schwartz Center for Children. She was a former member of the Wamsutta Club and the Country Club of New Bedford. She was a graduate of Holy Family High School.
She is survived by her son, John M. Malone; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Pamela Malone and sister of the late Normand Boucher. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church on Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
