Note: Mathieu Brasseur, born in 1702, was the son of Mathieu Brasseux and Jeanne Bellemere. He married about 1727, to Anne-Marie Pitre, the daughter of Jean Pitre and Francoise Babin, of Cobequid, Acadia. He went to Isle Saint-Jean, Acadia in 1752, then to Ristigouche, Acadia in 1758 and 1760, and also to Bonaventure, at the Bay of Warmth, according to the census of 1765.
