Mathias Rodrigue - Mathias Rodrigue 69, a former resident of Mason Street, Biddeford, died yesterday in Montpelier, Vt. where he made his home for the past 18 months with a daugther. He had been ill for many years.
He was born Dec. 28, 1896 in Beauceville, Que., the son of Philias and Marie Mathieu Rodrigue and lived in Biddeford 33 years. He retired several years ago from the Saco-Lowell Shops where he was a guard for may years. He was a communicant of St. Augustin Church in Montpelier. His wife Marie Clara Rodrigue, died last year.
Surviving are one son, Louis Philippe Rodrigue, Manchester, Conn.; four daugthers, Mrs. Linwood (Joan) Davis, Biddeford, Mrs. Eugene (Rita) Raymond, Montpelier, Vt., Mrs. Raymond (Lorraine) Pepin, Biddeford, and Mrs. Richard (Cecile) Digregorio, Hartford, Conn.; two brothers, Aloysius Rodrigue, Victoriaville, Que., and Oram Rodrigue, Mégantic, Que.; two sisters, Mrs. Alexina Poulin, Beauceville, Que., and Mrs. Marie Ange Poulin, Waterville; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 8:30 from St Joseph's Church. Burial will be in St. Francis de Sales cemetery, Waterville.
Friends may call at the Bolduc Funeral Home, 291 Alfred St Biddeford today and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m. - Biddeford-Saco Journal, Monday, November 14, 1966 - Page 2
