Note: Mary Berland, 86, Damar, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004. Mrs. Berland was born Mary Arpin on April 7, 1918, in Damar. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Urich in 1983 and six grandchildren. Survivors include seven sons, Gilbert and Tim, both of Damar, Gary of Smithville, Va., Stephen of Manhattan, Mark of Poquoson, Va., Reginal of Evergreen, Colo., and of Lebo five daughters, Carol Gordinaier of Derby, Deanna Normandin of Poquoson, Va., Susan German of Independence, Mo., Lucinda Moore of Orlando, Fla., and Laura Weatherly of Kitty Hawk, N. C. a brother, Alfred Arpin of Damar two sisters, Duetta LaPlante of Missouri and Thyfault of Damar 41 grandchildren 35 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Damar. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
