François' marriage to Marie Amiot forged a Fortier familial link to Marie-Francoise Faureau, Marie-Louise' grandmother who, beginning at age four in 1703, was the fostered child of Antoine Fortier and Marie Cadieu, François' great grandparents.

Marie Amiot had 6 children. An unnamed girl died at birth 28-fev-1792, and an unnamed boy died at birth 26-aout-1795, one day before Marie herself died.
