However during their relationship, Charles Morand dit Grimard and Marie-Francoise Mesny (Meny) had three sons, all who were baptized and called illegitimate in church records, but carried the Lesperance rather than Morand name.

Supposedly after the birth of their three children, Marie-Francoise & Morand were reinstated in the Church.
