# 728021 Marguerite Simard. The priest at Ste. Anne Church, Detroit, excommunicated both of them on Jan 23, 1774

However during their relationship, Charles Morand dit Grimard and Marie-Francoise Mesny (Meny) had three sons, all who were baptized and called illegitimate in church records, but carried the Lesperance rather than Morand name.

b. Charles Lesperance born 25 Jun 1775 in Ste-Anne Parish, Detroit, Michigan and was buried 31 Dec 1860 in Assumption Parish, Windsor, Ontario
c. Pierre Lesperance born 05 Dec 1776 in Ste-Anne Parish, Detroit, Michigan and died 12 Oct 1856 in Assumption Parish, Windsor, Ontario

Supposedly after the birth of their three children, Marie-Francoise & Morand were reinstated in the Church.
