Lumina Marie Roy was born on 20 January 1878, in Saint-Georges-de-Windsor, Les Sources, Quebec, Canada, her father, Joseph Eusèbe Roy, was 35 and her mother, Marie Flavie Boilard, was 29. She married Louis Alcide Pelletier on 7 January 1903, in Nashua, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, United States.

They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 4 daughters. She lived in Sainte-Claire, Dorchester, Quebec, Canada in 1881 and Dorchester, Quebec, Canada in 1901. She died on 20 October 1956, in Nashua, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, United States, at the age of 78.
