“The old soldiers are leaving us, one by one. Louis Tromblee, 2nd, who served in the rebellion, and was a member of J. Stone Post, G. A. R., died on
the morning of the 10th, April, 1899, after a short sickness, of pneumonia and heart trouble. He was in the 72nd year of his age. He has lived in the
Town of Saranac over 50 years. His wife and seven adult children survive him. The G. A. R. attended his funeral, which was held in the R. C. church
in Redford, April 12. Interment at Redford.”
