Noel already had a son Jean Baptiste from his first wife so even though this son was baptized Jean Baptiste they called him Louis. Here is the 1851 (information was collected early 1852) census of the family with 3 children from his first marriage, Francois, Jean and Marguerite and 3 from his second marriage, Antoine, Angele and Louis.

In the 1861 census Louis was 11, between Angele 13 and Regis 8.
Here is the 1881 census of his family, age 31 and living in Ste-Blandine

He immigrated to the States around 1890 and settled in Providence, Rhode Island.
