"Louis Blackbird, who has been a resident of this town for the past 29 years, died at his home, Thursday, of cancer of the stomach, aged 53 years. He is survived by his widow and eight children. The funeral was held Saturday at the French Catholic church. Hugo, Rev. Perrigold officiating."
