"Louis and his wife Cordelia resided in Portneuf, Quebec, from 1874 - 1880, then in Pont Rouge, Quebec. In Pont Rouge he owned and operated the first pulp and wood mill in Canada from 1883 - 1894. He is credited with many inventions, one of which is the Hydraulic Press ("Pulp & Paper" magazine, volume 17 no 27. He had 7 brothers and sisters but I only have their names and some places of buried mostly in the U.S.A." Mary Cowie #67980
