Retourner à la fiche de: Julius-Joseph Sauve
It was reported through family oral history that Julien Sauve's name was Julius Sopha and his father was a French Fur trapper named Henry Sopha who married an Amerindian. It was also reported that he was the only child. My theory is that in Michigan, information was lost in translation. Henriette was phonetically shortened to Henry, from New France.
