LAST RITES MONDAY FOR JOSEPH AUDET
PIONEER TUPPER LAKE RESIDENT DEAD At 60
Funeral services were held Monday morning in the Holy Name Church for Joseph A. Audet, 60, pioneer Tupper Lake settler, who died Saturday at his home to Faust. Rev. A. Audet officiated at the requiem mass, assisted by Rev. B. O. Hervieux, of St. Alphonsus church, and Rev. Charles Des Rosiers, pastor of the Faust Holy Name church.
A requiem low mass was also celebrated by Rev. A. J. Chevalier of Altamount. Interment was in the Holy Name cemetery at Faust.
Mr. Audet was born in San Raphael, P. Q. in 1863. He came to Tupper Lake more than forty years ago, and was active during the pioneer days of the village. He has been employed for many years as a carpenter by the International Paper company at Piercefield.
He is survived by one son, Emmet Audet. of Piercefield; four daughters, Mrs. Fred Ives jr. of Harrlsville; Mrs.. Zenon Gauthier, Tupper Lake; Mrs. Romeo Bedard and Mrs Aurore Audet, both of Faust.
