Joseph Thompson was married twice:
(Joseph Thompson was b in Ireland abt 1782 before 1850 Quebec).
At first, Joseph was married to Ann Moran who died in 1813 then to Thecle Fortier in 1814.
At last count he had 18 children..... mostly with 2nd wife.

Two children found, married in Quebec from first wife:
Simon to Therese Guay
Marguerite to Germain Begin.

Joseph Thompson converted to Cath. after the marriage to Thecle and converted his children from first marriage.

Interesting information:

Joseph Thompson. He arrived in Nova Scotia as a young child from Cork, Ireland and in 1799 became an apprentice hatter in Montreal. His son Simon mortgaged his house in order to guarantee the note of the parishioners for the building of Notre Dame de la Victoire.
