The New England Historical & Genealogical Register, 1847-2011: Volume #126, Page # 288 indicates that Joseph Doane was the father of Mary Doane who married Pierre Leonard (Lanoue) on May 14th, 1767. Pierre's parents were Rene and Marguerite Leaneau (Lanoue). Also mentioned in The Doane Family Volume II (archive.org), Article 558. p 9.

Joseph Doane and Mary Mayo had another daughter named Mary who died at 3 years old on June 6th 1748. The Mary that married Pierre Lanoue would then have to be the one born on March 4th, 1750.
