On list of Acadian prisoners at Halifax, Aug. 1763; listed as Jean, with wife and 4 children (Jehn, p.249); arrived in Louisiana Feb 1765 with pregnant wife Catherine Caissie dit Roger and their five children with party from Halifax via St.-Domingue led by Joseph Broussard dit Beausoleil; exchanged card money in New Orleans Apr. 1765.("France, Archives des Colonies, C 13a Louisiana General Correspondence v. 45 p. 29".) Jean-Baptiste, his father Augustin, infant son Joseph, and newborn Marianne died in (probable yellow fever) epidemic of summer and fall of 1765.
