In loving memory of Irene Gravelle (nee Levert), 90 years, of Pioneer Manor, who passed away at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site on Thursday, January 10th, 2008. She was born in Sudbury and married Rene Gravelle in 1935 in Sudbury. Irene appreciated the beauty of flowers and spending time sitting by a lake. She enjoyed music, dancing and car rides. She will be remembered as an excellent cook especially her delicious pies. She truly enjoyed the simple things in life and she was happiest when in the company of her loving family. Beloved daughter of Edward and Clara Levert (both predeceased). Beloved wife of Rene Gravelle (predeceased). Sister of Terry Stein (husband Ken predeceased) of Phoenix, Arizona, Bill and Rhea (predeceased), Wilfred (predeceased) wife Aldoria of Sudbury, Eugene (predeceased), Emily (predeceased), Eddie (wife Jackie) of New Brunswick and Ron (wife Dorothy) of Toronto. Sadly missed by her children Leo (wife Betty) of Saskatoon, Sask., Leona Hubert of Sudbury (husband Gerry predeceased), Lorraine and Jack Dixon (both predeceased). Lucy Larocque (husband Conrad) of Blezard Valley and Rene (wife Yvette) of Hanmer, Rita Upfold (husband Gary) of Val Therese, Gary (wife Carol) of Capreol, Madeline Mills (predeceased) husband Bob of Hanmer, Lawrence (wife Marilyn) of Tilsonburg, Danny of Sudbury and Oscar of Sarnia, 33 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren. A special thanks to all the staff at Pioneer Manor. Especially Linda, Helen and Connie (her primary care givers) for being special to our mom and the palliative care of Laurentian Hospital. Funeral Prayers in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St., at Hazel St., Sunday, January 13th, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Valley East Cemetery. Donations to the Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. (Friends may call 2-4 and after 6 p.m. Sunday).
