Irene Elmina Maisonneuve, longtime resident of Donnelly and Falher, Alberta, passed away on August 30, 2011 in McLennan at the age of 85 years years of age.
Irene was born on November 11, 1925 at Morinville, AB.
Irene is predeceased by her husband, Lucien Maisonneuve, her son Victor, daughter Gisèle Maisonneuve Besse grandson Joseph Labrecque, great-grandsons Eric Charest and Alexander Herbel as well as brothers and sisters, Henri Gauthier, Rose Beaudet, Marie-Ange Dancause, Annette Pouliot, Emile Gauthier and Alexi Gauthier as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law.
Irene is survived by her two sisters, Alexina Demeule and Cecile Lefebvre; daughters Juliette Labrecque (Léo) of Joussard; Lucille Jamieson (Milton Moncrieff) of Edmonton; Cécile Guindon (Henri) of Spruce Grove; Denise Gagnon (Claude) of St. Albert; Lynne Maisonneuve Vick (Dean) of Edmonton; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for the late Irene Maisonneuve were held September 6, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the Paroisse Sacré Coeur de Donnelly with Msgr. Charles Lavoie officiating.
Pianist was Marcella Lorrain and soloists were Meagan Houle and her great-grandson Cory Côté.
Eulogy was given by Denise Maisonneuve Gagnon.
