Beloved husband of 63 years of Claire (née Gagnon) of Sudbury. Loving father of Jean Paquette (Jean-Guy) of Chelmsford, Gilles (Bride) of Kirkland Lake, George (Diane) of Hanmer, Omer of Val Caron, Roger (Claudette) of Blezard Valley, Cécile predeceased, Albert (Carol) of Abbottsford B.C., Emery of Hanmer, Célina Titus (Rob) of Sudbury and Steve of Calgary. Cherished grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Comb (Estelle) of Val Caron and Colombe Prevost-Lalonde of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his parents Emery and Célina (née Brabant) Moncion and his 12 brothers and sisters. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gérard was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th degree, St. Jacques Assembly 1746 Hanmer as well as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #553. He was a proud Veteran of WW11, actively serving in France, Germany and Holland. He was a founding member of the Fire Department of Blezard Valley/Val Caron and its First Fire Chief.
