Moved to Ascension Parish, on left bank of Mississippi by 1 Aug 1770 Census: Francois Babin, 28; Margueritte Brau, his wife, 34; Charles Babin, son, 7; Paul Babin, son, 4; Pierre Breau, his nephew, 14. By the time of the 1777 Ascension Census he has 9 arpents land and his family has grown: Francois-36; wife Margueritte Braud-40; Charles-12, Paul-10, Francois-10, Marie-5.
