He and Salome LaBerge were married in St-Louis-de-Gonzague on January 27, 1875. The couple moved to Minnesota with 4 children in 1882.
His brothers, Peter, Joseph, Frank, Mose and Charles, their families and their widowed mother, Scholastique, departed Canada with him. His sisters, Emilie and Lucie, and their husbands and families remained in Quebec.
In Gentilly and in Crookston, Minnesota, 7 more children were born to them. In 1897, the family migrated to Moxee City, Washington where their last 3 children were born.
Fabien was a farmer, a carpenter and a grocer; owner of F. Regimbal & Son Grocery on Yakima Avenue in North Yakima from 1910 to 1918.
He was buried at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Moxee City, Yakima County, Washington.
