Peacefully, surrounded with family, on Tuesday March 27, 2012 at St. Patrick's Home at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Joseph "Joe" Gibbons. Loving mother of Marion Sammon (the late Jack), Shirley Armstrong (Thomas), Vivian Sloan (Kevin), Carmel Cote (Jean-Paul) and Kevin (Margaret). Cherished grandmother of Stephen, Liz (Chris), Shelley (Neil) and Colleen (Robert); Tim (Jackie); Trevor (Alison), Matt (Lisa) and Ryan; Jaime and Troy (Stephanie); Taylor and Lindsay. A special GG to Theodore, Stephanie, Scott, Hali, Frank, Maggie, Erin, Ellie and James. Daughter of the late John and Gertrude Doherty. Dear sister of Lena and the late Eddie, Evelyn and Bernard. Sister-in-law of Mary Doherty and Mary Kerwin. Ethel will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff and volunteers of St. Patrick's Home for their care and compassion.
