Egide Beaudoin, 67, of 228 Alsace Street, died in a local hospital Friday evening, following a long illness. He was born in St. Pierre Baptiste, County Megantic, Canada and has been a resident of this city for 50 years.
Members of his family are his widow, Mrs. Marie Jeanne (Lavergne) Beaudoin; seven sons, Rev. Egide J. W. Beaudoin, OMI, of Lowell, Mass., Armand H. Beaudoin of Miami, Fla., Omer J. Beaudoin of this city, Robert A. Beaudoin of San Francisco, Cal. J. Rodolphe, David F. and Lucien E. Beaudoin, all of this city. Seven daughters, Mrs. Max Hoffman, Mrs. Aurore Blondeau, and Mrs. Julien Blais of this city. Mrs. Gerard Gauthier of Camp Lejeune, N.C., Mrs. Leo Laferiere of this city, Rev. Sister Majella, Grey Nuns of the Auspice Morcetto of Lewiston, Me., and Miss Bernadette Beaudoin of this city.36 grandchildren; four brothers, Aime Beaudoin of Biddeford, Me., and Lucien, Oscar and Maurice Beaudoin of this city; four sisters, Mrs. Eddie Hammar, Mrs. Marie Noel Smith. Mrs. Alfred Curier and Mrs. Leon Hebert of this city; nephews and nieces.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart “League of St. Jean Baptiste Church. He was a parishioner of St. Jean Baptiste Church where a high mass of requiem will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 508 Dubuque Street, corner of Kelley Street after 6 o’clock on Saturday evening, Sunday & Monday at their convenience.
