Note: In 1822 Charles purchased some land around Montebello, Quebec. In 1852 Charles and his son Pierre together with others from St-Andre-Avellin emigrated to the U.S.A. to a location south of Chicago, Kankakee Illinois, in support of the North against slavery. Due to troubles in the U.S.A. he returned to Montebello in 1854.
