Their eldest son was Col. Charles Handfield born ? died 1832/1833 in Ireland. He married Miss Margaret Alford Winslow of Baltimore, U.S.A. ON 09/06/1778. IN iRELAND, THEY RESIDED AT the Hermitage Park , Lucan just outside Dublin which is now a Golf Club and also at their townhouse in Mountjoy Square, Dublin. In Ireland he was the first commanding officer of the Royal Irish Fusileers and then Commissary General of Ireland 1799-1823 and then on half pay from 1824 until 1832. This couple had 5 sons and 7 daughters.
