Bruno L. Spenard
SOUTHBRIDGE - Bruno L. Spenard, 62, of 59 Jennison Street, died yesterday at The Memorial Hospital, Worcester, following a long illness.
He leaves his wife, Marguerite (LaBarre) Spenard; three sons, Bruce Spenard of Putnam, Staff Sgt. Bryan Spenard, with the U. S. Air Force in Arizona, and Barry Spenard at home; a brother, Leo Spenard of Sturbridge; six sisters, Alice (Mrs. Conrad) Toutant of North Grosvenordale, Irene (Mrs. Adelard) Bergeron and Gertrude (Mrs. Ernest) Gregoire, both of Southbridge, Miss Theresa Spenard of Worcester; Sister Berthe and Sister Rachel, both of the Carmelite Order, Phillipine Islands; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Spenard was born in Canada, a son of Alphonse and Aurora (Monpas) Spenard. He attended schools in Putnam and had been a Southbridge resident for more than 30 years. He had been employed in the area as a toolmaker, and retired recently from his position with Galileo Electro-Optics due to illness.
Funeral services will be held at 9:15am Thursday from Bullard's Funeral Home, 51 Narcy Street, Southbridge, followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10am at St. Mary's Church, Hamilton Street, Southbridge. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
